Day 1:
Upon arrive at Sandakan Airport, proceed to cave exploration Gomantong Cave, the best managed elible bird's nest in the world. After Gomantong Cave, check-in to Myne Resort and lunch will be serve at our restaurant. After lunch, the rest of afternoon is free at leisure till evening cruise. Around 4.00PM, a boat ride to our longest river in Sabah, Kinabatangan River to search for primate such as Long Tail Macaques, Pig Tail Macaques and the highlight of this river is to look at the most biggest noise amongst primate in the world Proboscis Monkey, if luck is on our side, sometime you are able to see Orang Utan, Borneo Gibbon and the Borneo Pygmy Elephant too. Dinner at the restaurant.

Day 2:
Wake up early morning, enjoy start of calling of the Borneo Gibbon and the Hornbill that break the silence moment surround the resort and with a cup of coffee or tea in your hand before start and morning cruise at 6.30AM. Search more wildlife and birds along the Kinabatangan River to the Ox-bow lake of Sukau, various species of wildlife may be seen such as Proboscis Monkey, Borneo Gibbon, Long Tail Macaques, Pig Tail Macaques and Borneo Pygmy Elephant. Return to the resort for breakfast, cycling is available at the resort.

At 10.00AM, there will be a Jungle Trekking Jati (990M) with the canopy walk and observation stage. Jungle walk to our MERBAU TRAIL, you will be fascinated by more than 100 years old MERBAU TREE where there was a big hole under its and it can be fit around 5-6 people in one time, it was believe a hiding place for the village people to hide their daughter during the Japanese era. Return to the resort for lunch, after lunch, the rest of the afternoon is free at leisure till evening cruise. At 4.00PM, another boat ride to our longest river in Sabah, Kinabatangan River to search more wildlife and birds. Dinner at the restaurant.

Early AM, take a river trip to the Ox Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. Return lodge free at own leisure, late afternoon, another river cruise with electric motor to search for more wildlife. Dinner and overnight at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner ) Day 05 - Wake up by the calls of gibbons or hornbills. After Breakfast, depart overland to Gomantong Birdnest Caves. Upon arrival, 15 minutes walk on the plankwalk to the cave. Explore the largest bird's nest cave in Sabah, home to millions of Bats and Swiflets. The nest of the swiflets are collected for the famous Chinese edible birdnest soup. Then, continue journey by land to Sandakan, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, which offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay before lunch at local restaurant or hotel. After lunch, proceed to airport for your flight MH 2709 (ETD1415hrs) or your hotel. Meet at Sandakan Airport (MH2042 ETA 0810hrs or Ak6080 ETA 0800hrs). Drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. 1000 hrs Feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo. 10.30AM, Transfer to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary for about 1 hour journey. The sanctuary is located at the center of the mangrove forest along the coastal land near Kampung Samawang in Labuk Bay, Sandakan. Part of the trip will be through the graveled roads and jeep tracks of plantation estates. Upon arrival, register and witness the feeding of the unique monkey which is endemic to Borneo. Watch them being fed by the staff at the feeding platform at 4:30Pm daily. If time and weather permits, experience a 0.8km board walk through the mangrove forest. Transfer back to Sandakan Airport or Hotel. (This sanctuary offers another perfect Proboscis Monkeys observation spot for any tourist who wants to have closer look at these very special monkeys and do not have the time to travel too far away to watch them) (Lunch)

Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary

In the centre of the mangrove forests of Sumawang is the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary, where you can see Borneo's indigenous proboscis monkeys. This privately-owned sanctuary located within an oil palm estate gives you the chance to observe these animals up close and personal.

The remarkable males sport big dangling noses, reddish flat-top hairstyles, white tails and markings, and pot bellies. The females on the other hand, are much smaller and have up-turned noses.

A river trip can be arranged to further observe the monkeys or do some bird watching, as hornbills and kingfishers are found in the area. Take a night tour for a chance to see wild boars, flying squirrels, fireflies and crocodiles. The sanctuary also has a lodge with six air-conditioned twin-sharing rooms and a dormitory for those who wish to stay overnight.

Getting There
Travel along Jalan Labuk (heading towards Kota Kinabalu) and turn off at the SPS 3 junction at kilometre 23 (adjacent to Consolidated Sabah Farms). From here, the farm is a further 15km along the gravel road.

The sanctuary also provides transfers, daytrips and overnight stays. You can also go through a local tour operator.

This package is bound to be the experience of a lifetime, offering you close encounters with two of our planet's most beautiful animals, the majestic sea turtles and the enigmatic orang utan. Watch one of nature's most mysterious wonders, the sea turtles' landing and nesting on Selingan Island and make a date with the Orang Utan, one of man's closest cousins.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Selingan Island

The day begins with a 45 minute boatride from Sandakan to Sabah's very own turtle island, Selingan Island. Relax and enjoy an afternoon of leisure after registering at the Turtle Island Park's headquarters. Unwind at your chalet or go for a swim or snorkel, the choice is entirely up to you!

The highlight of the day begins after dinner, when the ranger issues a call to watch the turtles nesting and laying their eggs. These eggs will eventually be transferred to a specialized hatchery. If you are lucky, you just might also have the opportunity to see young turtle hatchlings being released into the sea!

Day 2: Selingan Island to Sandakan

After breakfast, you return to Sandakan for a visit to one of Sabah's well known tourist attractions, the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Initially set up to rehabilitate orphaned orang utans in 1964, this centre has developed into a major draw for tourists, providing a window into the life of the orang utan.

In the afternoon, pay homage to the sacrifices made by Allied soldiers who served in Borneo at the Australian War Memorial located in Sandakan before departing for Kota Kinabalu by flight.

Sabah Parks allow only non-flash photgraphy of turtles. Video and digital video cameras are not allowed.

Unsupervised movement on Selingan Island from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am is prohibited by Sabah Parks.

Many participants reserve 3-5months advance and we are waiting for their payment. If they not able to come , the room will auto-release to 2nd , 3rd wait list....
